OCT 16 2009 Albany New York

With nearly 100 people from around the country in attendence, Jiang, Jian-ye (Grandmaster) introduced The intermediate level of Chinese Yoga with Healing Qi, during a Saturday Workshop held at his Albany, New York studio.

Chinese Yoga with Healing Qi

is an exercise system similar to the Indian Yoga that most westerners are familiar with. The primary difference is that Chinese Yoga, as introduced by Jiang, works range of motion stretching as opposed to “static” stretching. Chinese Yoga with Healing Qi for Beginners and Seniors has enjoyed a wide reception around the US since being introduced in August 2009.

Classes and workshops are grabbing fans in the 50 something to 80 something age bracket as these exercises are challenging and fun, yet highly adaptable to physical ability.

The Intermediate Level takes practiced beginners to new levels of intensity, and is more challenging than the beginners’ level, but it too is highly adaptable to the natural limitations imposed by aging.

Jiang who is a Master teacher of Chinese Martial Arts, Wushu, and Qigong has produced a detailed instruction video (DVD, 120 minutes) and an audio CD in which detailed instruction is presented.

Another significant difference between the yoga familiar to the west, and Chinese Yoga with Healing Qi is its focus and use of Qigong “technologies” included in the practice. Qigong is an aspect of Traditional Chinese Medicine in whichbreath control, exercise, and visualization manipulate the flow of qi (vital life force energy) throughout the body. The DVD and the CD include verbal guidance for the visualization process (guided visualization) along with the instruction for practice of the movement.
